Artist Notes/Recent Works

My paintings are now showing at:

                     Gallery Row,
                     3102 Harborview Drive,
                     Gig Harbor WA.

September was a banner month for the gallery with a number of sales including my Blinded By The Light.

Meanwhile I am continuing to paint from our travels.

The still life above is a basket of exotic fruits that we bought in St. Lucia while provisioning for the 800 mile voyage North to Virgin Gorda last summer.

Second is a scene from our local Gig Harbor bay.  The reflection of colorful fenders on this fishing boat cast a graceful arc in the water.

Play of light and shade in the Greek Aegean Islands

Last is one of my favorite pastimes, exploring my abstract self.

I have also started a line of Art Rocks.  Strictly speaking it is not fine art, but it it a lot of fun and they are very affordable.

I am also having lots of fun with my pet portraits.  I am accepting commissions and my newest pet painting of Zoey is an example.  Zoey is very lovable but not too bright,  She has a perpetual slightly worried expression that I captured in this painting.

My pet paintings are intended to be a whimsical reflection of each individual animal's personality, rendered with a lavish use of bold, unexpected color.
